About Us
The MGRA is a non-profit organization designed to preserve and promote railroad history in the Middle Georgia area. The MGRA welcomes anyone regardless of age, sex, religion or race to become a member. The MGRA has retired and active railroad employees, modelers, railfans, toy train collectors, and general train lovers. Many members belong to the National Railroad Historical Society, National Model Railroad Association, The Toy Train Collectors of America, and the many historical societies of railroads that served the Middle Georgia Area.
The MGRA meets once a month on the third Monday evening at 7:00pm at the Gordon Depot. Membership fees in the MGRA are $20.00 annually. As a member you receive the Middle Georgia Flyer- our monthly newsletter, invitations to field trips, and best of all, fellowship! Each month there are a wide range of guest speakers on railroad history, model railroad clinics, and workshops.
