Operation Lifesaver
Operation Lifesaver is a program designed to educate the public about safety at highway-rail grade crossings. Their mission is to reduce the number of accidents on railroad rights of way. They accomplish this through education, enforcement, and engineering. Please see www.oli.org for more information about Operation Lifesaver.
The MGRA welcomes an Operation Lifesaver program once every two years by Fred Jones, a retired Norfolk Southern engineer and Operation Lifesaver advocate.
