About the Society

The Georgia Southern and Florida Railway Historical Society is a non-profit educational group chartered in the State of Georgia dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of historical significance of the Georgia Southern and Florida Railway. Founded on January 1, 2001, the GS&F Historical Society has meetings and shows relating to the Georgia Southern and Florida Railway.

GS&F

The Society is a 501C(3)e nonprofit group. Membership is set at $25 per year, which includes a yearly pass, a quarterly newsletter- The Suwannee River Route Telegraph- and invitations to meetings and shows. Everyone is invited to join regardless of race, sex, age or religion.

The Suwanee River Route Telegraph is the quarterly publication of the GS&F Historical Society. Each issue contains history articles, photos, railroad documents, and event notices. A sample issue is available for download here:
